Councilman
Andrew Cangiano
Andrew Cangiano is a dedicated civil engineer and an active Councilman in Mount Arlington. He has been a key member of the Borough Council, contributing to the town’s efforts in smart growth, infrastructure improvements, and community development.
With a strong commitment to public service, Andrew has supported initiatives such as water and sewer upgrades, road improvements, and shared service agreements that benefit residents and improve overall quality of life. His leadership on the Council is rooted in a deep dedication to the community, and his background as a former youth coach reflects his ongoing commitment to fostering a better environment for families.
Andrew is married with two grown children who attended Mount Arlington schools, and he continues to play an integral role in shaping the future of Mount Arlington alongside his fellow council members.

Councilman
Rockie Fuller
Rockie Fuller is a dedicated public servant and security expert. Rockie has lived in Mount Arlington for thirty-three years where his two children grew up and attended the Mount Arlington school system. With extensive experience spanning law enforcement, corporate security, and community leadership, Rockie has held prestigious roles including Chief of Police, FBI Special Agent, Supervisory Special Agent, Senior Supervisory Resident Agent and Assistant to the SAC.
Currently serving as a Borough Councilman, Public Safety Committee Chairman and Deputy Office of Emergency Management Coordinator, he is committed to enhancing community safety and development. He also previously served on the Mount Arlington Land Use Board for three years.
Rockies’ background in strategic planning, investigation management, and team leadership reflects his lifelong dedication to protecting and serving others.

Mayor
Mike Stanzilis
Mayor Mike Stanzilis has served Mount Arlington as Mayor since 2016, following two terms as Councilman and earlier leadership as Chairman of the Land Use Board. He is the immediate past President of the Morris County League of Municipalities and serves as Vice President of the New Jersey Conference of Mayors.
A seasoned business and government leader, Mike is the Founder and CEO of Arlington Analytics, LLC, and previously managed global operations overseeing more than 1,200 professionals.
As Mayor, he has lowered or held municipal taxes flat for multiple years, coined the “Race to the Bottom” pledge to keep Mount Arlington among the lowest-taxed towns in the region, and safeguarded education and community programs.
Mike’s leadership philosophy is simple: Smart Growth + Prudent Fiscal Management =Success. With deep roots in the community since 2002, he remains committed to responsible governance, strong schools, and building a future ready Mount Arlington.

Councilman
Dave BaRoss
Dave BaRoss has been serving on the Mount Arlington Borough Council since February 2023, having previously served on the Land Use Board for five years. He is Chair of the Finance Committee and a member of the Personnel Committee. Dave is also Council Liaison to the Board of Education.
Councilman BaRoss is a retired senior marketing executive who has spent more than 35 years in the financial consulting and high tech/telecom industries.
Dave and his wife, Beth, moved to Mount Arlington nine years ago. They live on Bertrand Island.
A believer in community involvement, Dave has been a volunteer with the Lake Hopatcong Foundation for the past nine years. He is also a member of the Lake Hopatcong Historical Museum.
Dave loves Mount Arlington and the lake. He is dedicated to continuing to work for all residents, the council, and the borough, to help ensure that Mount Arlington remains the safe, affordable lakeside oasis that attracted him to move here.
The BaRosses have been married for 39 years. They have two married daughters and three grandchildren.

Councilman
Jack Delaney
Jack Delaney served with the Morris County Sheriff’s Office for more than 25 years. He was a Captain in charge of Administration, overseeing a staff of 100.
After a full and rewarding career in law enforcement, while living in Dover, he was elected to the office of Alderman where he served 6 years.
Jack moved to Mount Arlington in 2013 and joined the Borough Council 9 years ago. Mr. Delaney serves as the Borough Emergency Management Coordinator along with the Chief of Police. He leads the Mount Arlington Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and is the RESCUE, ALARM,CONFINE,EXTINGUISH/EVACUATE (RACES) Coordinator.
Jack and his wife Gail have 5 children and 8 grandchildren. After raising their children they moved to Mount Arlington when they found their dream house, and settled into the wonderful lake community.

Councilwoman
Nita Galate
Nita’s love of Mt. Arlington started by summering on Lake Hopatcong at her Grandparents house, her family has been residents since the 1940’s. Spending days on the lake and nights at the amusement park, forged such an incredible bond with the community starting at a very young age.
It came as no surprise she moved to Mt. Arlington in 2002 and since, has volunteered for the Borough wherever needed. Through the years she has been appointed or elected to various positions, Land Use Board, Health Department, County Committee, and Council. Chairing and supporting various committees in the Borough, Infrastructure, BOE, Police/Fire, DPW, Historic Preservation, Library Trustee. Seeing a disconnect with Morris County, her interest was piqued to volunteer and be appointed to various Morris County Boards as well, Planning & Engineering, Historic Preservation Grant Board, Open Space Grant Committee, MC Trails Grant Committee.
From an Entrepreneurial background in the demolition/disposal business, today Nita works as Director of Sales & Marketing. Nita’s love of Mt. Arlington is second only to her love of the residents, those that enjoy the Borough’s beach, parks, events, especially the volunteers that keep the Borough going, without whom, the town could not function.

Councilwoman
Melissa Fostle
Melissa Fostle has served on the Mount Arlington Borough Council since January 2020. She is the Council’s Land Use Board liaison. She has served on the board for eighteen years and as the Vice Chairwoman for the last ten. Fostle currently chairs the Finance and Economic Development committee for the Borough Council. She is also a Republican County Committee member for Mount Arlington District 4.
Fostle is a graduate of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. She is a licensed professional engineer in the State of New Jersey. Her primary work focus was the design and construction of state and federal highways. She is also experienced in land development and land use planning projects.
Melissa’s community focus is implementing sound fiscal management practices that allow the Borough to maintain a low municipal tax rate. She has encouraged smart growth principles and land use planning methods to facilitate positive development, and spearheaded the Borough of Mount Arlington’s Aesthetics Ordinance. Among her current projects are park improvement plans that will serve all Mount Arlington residents.
Melissa and her husband Kevin O’Brien are twenty-year residents of Lake Rogerene. Now that their daughter, a recent graduate from the Mount Arlington and Roxbury school districts, has chosen to continue her education at her mother’s alma mater Rutgers, Melissa and Kevin are empty-nesters.
Councilwoman Fostle is dedicated to the Mount Arlington community and hopes to continue serving her fellow residents.
